Luís Troufa was born in Matosinhos, in May of 1971.

Lives in Viana do Castelo, Portugal.

Is a Visual Arts’ high school teacher since 1996.

Has got a Fine Arts’ Degree in Painting by University of Porto - School of Fine Arts (1996) and a Masters’ Degree in Painting by University of Porto - School of Fine Arts (2013).

Throughout his life he has developed several artistic projects in painting, drawing and video.
